Bio
Currently based in Korea. I'm interested in what stories, symptoms, and potentials are revealed (or resisted) through the material of place. Weaving personal or subjective experience with social-symbolic histories and posthuman conditions. Ideas begin through acts of walking, and conversation, or sought after encounters; like a Journalist without a readership. Projects may typically begin with phone, pencil and paper, since these are most convenient. Although medium is determined by concepts and outcomes; I have worked in digital/video, ink based printing, wood, concrete, glass, and organic material such as plants; which are treated as cultural artifacts. I am also a self described teacher-for-hire, and this loops into the work and allows me the privilege to live in various locations. Recently, I have been developing ideas for an art training school with locally contextualised project-based activities and STEAM activities which seek to expand its own confines of design based 'problem solving' methodologies. I am also studying a Masters; exploring animation tools as a means to present interdisciplinary research and narratives.
